Another great pactice in Sprecklesville =)

This past Saturday, we had a great pupu ori session, and my how our Tahitian dance troupe has grown! Good stamina today guys and gals despite the fact that Ra'atira Ashley was out sick, everyone was pretty much on point. Remember... Test this coming Saturday!! Written and Dance!! We would like to extend a warm welcome to Daesha, Kahili, Lihau, Alele, Kaleo, Chelsea, and Syra! Don't forget to get your brown Pareo's and sand bags or order them if you haven't already done so. Please come down to watch your Pupu Ori sister Selena-Marie Rodrigues as she competes against other 4-6 year olds for the title of Pacific Island Princess Mini Miss age division! She will also be doing a Tahitian ori as her talent routine! Come down and cheer for your youngest Tahitian/Hula sister!

Iorana and Happy New Year everyone!

Now that the holidays are over  (whew!!) we can get down to some serious class time =).

First of all I would like to welcome to our pupu ori, Alex, Charvette, Danish and Jaylynn. All 4 of you are doing an awesome job. Keep up the hard work. I promise you that it will all pay off one day. We will be starting an Ahuroa Class (slow tahitian) in Feb. of this year. I will keep you updated on that. Our Ra'atira Ashley Jardine will be going to Jakarta Indonesia for an entire month to dance Tahitian for Cirque Indonesia! We hope that you will have a fabulous time and stay safe. We look forward to your return the end of December. Good luck Ashley!!!

Sheena is off to Japan this Monday. She will also be gone for an entire month as well. Keep practicing Sheena and we will see you in January 2011.

Te Tama Pornetia will holding open enrollment for Vahine & Kane dancers of all ages on 10/30/2010 & 11/06/2010. We teach the folklore, music and dances of Tahiti.

For Vahine: Please wear a pareo and a comfortable t-shirt or tank top (If you do not have a pareo loose comfortable shorts will do... NO DENIM) bottle of water, pen & paper.

For Kane: Please wear comfortable loose clothing (NO DENIM), bottle of water, pen & paper.
